2026-27 LIBRARY VOTE & TRUSTEE ELECTION Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 10:00am to 8:00pm in the library. The library’s annual report and proposed budget is below. For the 2026–2027 fiscal year, the total amount of real estate taxes to be raised is $3,226,301, an increase from $3,120,214 in the prior year. This 3.4% increase remains within the New York State Tax Cap. This position is a five (5) year term of office, beginning July 1, 2026, and expiring on June 30, 2031. If you are interested in running for office, you must: Be a current resident of the Deer Park School District and may only be nominated by petition. Return a completed petition to the Director’s Office no later than 5pm on March 16.  *Trustee petitions must be signed by at least 25 qualified voters of the school district, and shall include the address of each signer. This is a men’s shelter to stay overnight, but women can receive outreach services such as showers, meals, and clothing.
