Sugar Changed the World by Marc Aronson and Marina Budhos – Two Reviews!

SugarSugar Changed the World by Marc Aronson and Marina Budhos was very interesting.  This book was about how sugar changed the world.  The title says it all.  Main points in this book were about slavery on sugar plantations.  This topic may or may not sound interesting to you, but you’ll like this book anyway because of the way it was written.  Also, the authors connected their own personal stories to the book; you could say that this book was an extension of their story.
This book talked about sugar’s secret history throughout the world.  This history, not well known and very dark, is about greedy men who seek, as the book mentioned, “white gold.”
I would recommend this to friends and I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.  This book is a pretty good read, especially because of the way it was written.

I like learning about things in our history so this book was a great choice for me.  It also included things about slavery which I also enjoyed because I love learning about slavery.  It may not interest all people but if you enjoy history this is a book for you.
