Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake – Three Reviews!

Anna Dressed in Blood is an epic love story mixed in with mystery, dare and just the right amount of haunting.  The main character is Theseus Cassio Lowood.  But you can just call him Cas.  His father is your regular ghost hunter dad, and after his father’s horrific death, Cas himself has claimed his father’s fame to kill ghosts.  Every boy wants to be just like his daddy, that’s their goal.  However, from the second Cas no longer has a father, his goal is vengeance.
Three years, 21 ghost deaths, and a rather lonely period of time later, Cas finds himself a ghost challenge.  A ghost whose death is unknown, if that ghost can be killed, only then will he consider himself ready to take on his father’s killer.  Fate, destiny or whatever you want to call it had other plans, as Cas falls he falls helplessly in love with a ghost.  Will he free the ghost in the name of love?  Or is he releasing a monster on innocent people?  A twist is hidden in the roots of the story, so deep that the only way to find it is to read it.

Anna Dressed in Blood was a very good murder mystery and horror story.  I usually don’t like scary things but this was a really good book.  I liked how Anna and Cas developed a relationship throughout the story and even though she was a ghost, they still tried to make their love work.  My favorite character was Anna.  I loved how she could go from being a mean killer to a harmless 16 year-old girl.  She was so kind and delicate to Cas and it showed how much she loved him.  I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good love/horror book.

Anna Dressed in Blood was one of the greatest books of horror and romance that I have ever read.  My favorite character is the ghost Anna because I feel bad for her because she was killed when she was a young girl.  I would rate this book a ten out of ten because it was so great.  I would definitely recommend this book to all of my friends and family because it was such a good novel.
