I’ve never read Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations but I am amazed at what this author did– taking one main character from Dickens’ tale and several supporting– and lifting (and creating) this wonderful current story out of it.  Miss Havisham (for those of us who know Dickens only in trivia-bits) is the one who wears only her white wedding dress.
