Lexington Bartleby is a punk with bad behavior who is mean to her classmates in school. She is 16 and her classmates wonder how she is so evil, even Lex doesn’t have a reason. When her parents decide that it’s best to go for discipline in Uncle Mort’s farm, Lex gets agitated at being kicked out. When Lex finds out that her uncle is the Grim Reaper, she knows why she is evil all the time. Her family business is to do good deeds by killing people who have done bad deeds, but doesn’t know if it’s right or wrong. She gets partnered with a rock star, and they deliver all kinds of souls. She soon becomes obsessed with this power , leading to the murder of someone in her family.
My favorite character is Concord Barlteby, Lex’s sweet and caring sister. She is the total opposite of Lex. Cordy was so confident and was always saw the true Lex, who was good hearted. Cordy had the feeling something wasn’t right, and felt worried about Lex. I give this book a 2/5 stars because it got so creepy when it talked about Lex’s job as a Grim Reaper; I wouldn’t recommend it to friends.
