Team Human by Justine Larbalestier

Team Humanis a good book for anyone.  It starts off a little slow and boring, however, after about the first 100 pages it becomes interesting.  The book is about a town called New Whitby which is also know as the “vampire city.”  The vampires usually stay on their side of town while the humans stay on the other side.  One day, a vampire shows up at Mel’s school.  His name is Francis and not only is it bad enough that he is in their school, but Mel’s best friend Cathy seems to be falling in love with him.  Mel, the main character, is doing everything she can to try and get Cathy out of making the worst decision she will ever make.

Will Mel be able to help Cathy and her friend Ana about the mysterious disappearance of her father?  My favorite character in this book would have to be Kit; he doesn’t come into the book until the middle, but he had a big impact on the story.  Although I cannot specify my favorite part, it would have to be everything that happened in the last chapter of the book.
